About the Role:
The Service Department Technical Sales Manager is responsible for driving top line growth through the sale of service product offerings, managing client relationships, and maintain a high level of customer engagement. This role requires a high degree of interaction between field service delivery, equipment sales and engineering support teams. This role primary focus is on identifying opportunities, working with the internal team to develop solutions and delivering proposals to meet client needs and winning the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales & Business Development
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- Identify and pursue new service opportunities within assigned accounts.
- Prepare and present service proposals, quotes, and contracts.
- Negotiate pricing and terms to secure profitable business.
- Account Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding new service product needs.
- Understand client requirements and communicate them effectively to the service and engineering team.
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery of services.
- Resolve customer issues promptly and professionally.
- Collaboration & Coordination
- Work closely with service delivery leadership, project managers, engineering staff and equipment sales teams to ensure seamless execution.
- Participate in planning meetings to align service schedules with customer expectations.
- Provide feedback to improve estimating accuracy and service delivery.
- Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of quotes, orders, and customer interactions in CMMS system.
- Track sales performance against targets and report regularly to management.
- Assist in forecasting and budgeting for service department revenue.
- Expectations
- Self-starter, willing to travel and meet with customers or potential customers to better understand their service support needs.
- Ability to analyze installation database to assess opportunities, track warranty and other key metrics which drive opportunity.
- Miscellaneous administrative tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- A four-year degree from a recognized University of Institute of learning in an engineering discipline such as electrical, electronic or industrial engineering.
- No less than four years’ proven experience in sales or account management, preferably in electrical services, industrial equipment, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of service operations, estimating, and sales accounting processes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in CRM/ERP/CMMS tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of electrical switchgear, commissioning, and startup services.
- Familiarity with service contracts and warranty terms.
- Experience coordinating field service teams
Performance Metrics:
- Revenue growth from service sales.
- Customer engagement, satisfaction and retention.
- Accuracy of quotes, quote turn-around and timely invoicing.
- Contribution to process improvements, documentation and metric reporting.
Additional Qualifying Factors:
- Candidate must be willing to Travel between 30-50% of the time
- Must be able to successfully pass a background check and drug screen.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel with overnight stays.
- Must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excell and PowerPoint.
- Must comply with all company safety and conduct and administrative policies.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.

May work in various settings at the Maverick Power facilities, in offices, in multiple shops, and commercial buildings. Maintaining the same position or posture while performing tasks and sitting for prolonged periods.
