About the Role:
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for partnering with management throughout the organization to find the most qualified candidates aligned with the Maverick Power core values. This individual will achieve staffing objectives by sourcing and evaluating candidates, advising managers on candidate qualifications and managing candidates through the hiring process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Consults with hiring managers to understand roles to be filled and profiles of ideal candidates.
- Reviews and assesses applicants’ education, experience, training, and other qualifications.
- Verifies employment eligibility, gathers necessary paperwork, and background checks.
- Schedules interviews and coordinates interviewers or panels.
- Ranks applicants and gather feedback from other interviewers.
- Informs candidates of job duties, responsibilities, work schedules, compensation and benefits packages, and career advancement opportunities.
- Prepares and extends job offers.
- Notifies applicants of rejection.
- Attends career fairs and recruitment events.
- Responsible for sourcing qualified candidates through social media, recruiting agencies, employee referrals, universities…etc.
- Responsible for documenting communication with candidates and hiring managers throughout the hiring process.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience in Human Resources or related field.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in recruiting field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
Bonus Skills:
- Manufacturing recruiting experience
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to twenty-five pounds at times.
Work Environment:
May work in various settings at the Maverick Power facilities, in offices, in multiple shops, and in commercial buildings. Maintaining the same position or posture while performing tasks and sitting for prolonged periods.
