About the Role:
The Learning and Development Facilitator is responsible for delivering engaging, high-impact training programs that support the growth of frontline employees and emerging leaders. This role will lead interactive learning sessions, assist in developing training content, and partner with leaders across sites to ensure training is aligned with business needs, Maverick Power’s culture, and operational goals. The ideal candidate is passionate about developing others, skilled in facilitation, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, manufacturing-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate instructor-led training sessions (in-person and virtual), using diverse methods to ensure effective learning outcomes.
- Support the design and improvement of training materials and resources in partnership with subject matter experts.
- Apply adult learning principles and use interactive strategies like skill practices, discussions, and feedback loops.
- Observe employee behaviors and gather feedback to tailor and improve training relevance.
- Assist with onboarding, leadership development, communication skills, and workplace expectations training.
- Track attendance, maintain training records, and report on participation and outcomes to the L&D Manager.
- Provide coaching and post-training support to reinforce learning and encourage skill application.
- Stay current with training best practices, tools, and technologies to enhance program quality.
- Collaborate with HR, Safety, Operations and other key departments to support compliance, development, and engagement goals.
- Travel between company locations (McKinney, Plano, Garland) to facilitate sessions as needed.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Education, Business, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in public speaking, group facilitation, or leading team presentations; direct experience in learning and development is a plus but not required.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and effective facilitation techniques.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and motivate diverse audiences.
- Experience designing and delivering training materials using PowerPoint and other learning tools.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Comfort with feedback delivery and group dynamics in live workshop environments.
Bonus Skills:
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning development tools.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish or Vietnamese to support a multilingual workforce.
- Familiarity with manufacturing environments and operational training needs.
- Basic data analysis skills to help evaluate training effectiveness and improvement opportunities.
- A creative mindset and experience with graphic design or visual storytelling is a plus.
- Ability to write or contribute to training curriculum and learning content is strongly preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to twenty-five pounds at times.
Work Environment:
May work in various settings at the Maverick Power facilities, in offices, in multiple shops, and in commercial buildings. Maintaining the same position or posture while performing tasks and sitting for prolonged periods.
