About the Role:

As a Maverick Power Documentation Manager, you are leading a team of entry level and subject matter experts in their field. You will be working with Engineering, Project Managers, and other departments to provide documentation for Maverick Power customers and internal company use. You will be collaborating with other departments to assist in their document needs. You will get to work with a broad range of documentation from internal processes and work instruction to manuals for external customers. You will plan, lead, and coordinate opportunities to implement documentation management solutions. You will plan, lead, and coordinate opportunities to innovate document creation and delivery methods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with other teams across the company.
  • Research/develop/implement document management and delivery solutions.
  • Manage document projects and libraries.
  • Create and update document templates.
  • Assign work to team members and perform general administrator tasks.
  • Lead a team and provide required training.
  • Define and enforce business practices and processes.
  • Coordinate with project managers regarding customer-facing documentation.
  • Provide periodic reports for review by senior leadership.
  • Conduct new hire candidate selection and interviews.
  • Standard Technical Writer/Document Specialist duties.
    • Gather information or images for documentation.
    • Conduct documentation reviews.
    • Create and manage custom SharePoint forms.
    • Create process, policy, and work instruction.
    • Create user and operation manuals.
    • Convert documents from one format or file type to another.
    • Build and maintain SharePoint Site/List/Library.
    • Create automations for SharePoint
    • Performs other job-related duties as necessary or assigned.

Qualifications:

  • MS office products. (Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio)
  • XML or HTML
  • Adobe Acrobat Reader (Edit documents)
  • SharePoint (as a standard user)
  • Engineering mechanical and electrical drawings. (able to read and understand)
  • Project Management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Oxygen XML software.
  • Snagit screen capture software.
  • SharePoint site administrator.
  • SharePoint site creation and management.
  • Power Apps to create custom SharePoint forms.
  • Power Automate to create automation flows.
  • Template building (Word document)
  • XML Structure building. (Schema, DTD, DITA)
  • Writing CSS script for XML outputs.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to twenty-five pounds at times.
  • Prolonged periods sitting, standing, walking, and performing repetitive tasks.

Work Environment:
May work in various settings at the Maverick Power facilities, in offices, in multiple shops, and in commercial buildings. Maintaining the same position or posture while performing tasks and sitting for prolonged periods.
